Has worked with The Avid Reader (Sacramento), Vroman's (Pasadena), Barnes & Noble (Pasadena), as well as AAUW, teachers' and library conferences, and various high schools throughout California.
In addition to having written twelve books, Marilyn has taught English at an alternative high school for twenty-six years. She currently works with incarcerated youth, encouraging writing and helping them prepare their work for inclusion in a professionally published anthology.

Type & length of presentations: 30-90 minutes depending on the situation.

Ages/grades preferred: High School (ages 14-18); College, particularly with students in teacher training programs; Adults, particularly teachers, librarians and developing writers.
Honorarium: negotiable, up to three sessions.
Size of audience: From groups as small as 10-12, up to assemblies up to 400.
