Member Listserve
The NCIBA maintains a listserve, or mailing list, as a means of communication and information sharing among its members and other interested parties. Our list is by subscription, and is open to NCIBA members and other individuals in the trade (including allied professionals). If you would like additional information about the list or to subscribe or unsubscribe, please visit the listserve’s Yahoo home, or send a blank email to the following address.
This mailing list serves as a forum on the topics of books and bookselling for those who work in the bookstore trade. Please note: off-topic postings will result in expulsion from the list. Commands for subscribing or unsubscribing are handled by the list itself.

Precarious by Al Riske (978-1-935462-32-3)
The stories in Precarious are about doing the right thing and regretting it. About men who are still boys. About making bets and dancing naked.
They play out in rain-soaked Seattle and drought-stricken California. In the front seat of Mom’s Malibu and a vacation cabin on Cape Cod.
In prose that is by turns spare and lyrical, the stories of Precarious capture the feeling of late summer. A never-ending game of Kick the Can. All sense of time lost among the stars. Includes “Pray for Rain,” winner of the Blue Mesa Review 2008 fiction prize.
